Workshop MoTuM for PGN SAKA
Prof. Ir. Muslim Muin, MSOE, Ph.D., and Arung Bahari Muslim, as part of MuTeknologi Software, gave training or workshop MoTuM (Model Tumpahan Minyak) to PGN Saka Energi Indonesia. The training is a refreshment on using the software and understanding the simulation results from MoTuM. PGN has been using MoTuM since 2013. The workshop consists of 2 days. For the first day, we try to simulate an oil spill in the Pangkah Area with trajectory, thickness, probability of oily area in time, and percentage around August 2024 and January 2025. We also make sure all the participants are proficient in MoTuM, and more importantly, the participants must comprehend the simulation result and explain it to the combating team or higher-ups.

On the second day, the participants tried drill exercises about oil spills and blowouts based on their OSCP. After the exercise, we also discussed the best way to present their simulation results and taught how to use the probability of oil sources in MoTuM, where the primary purpose is to backtrack the oil spill source that we find in the area. Overall, the training was successful and very swift.
